Colonial Field Day

April 29th, 2023

2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Ever wondered how to play hoop and stick? Or pickle a vegetable? What about spinning yarn?

Bring the whole family and see for yourself! Take part in activities that were commonplace in the 18th century. Speak with costumed staff and volunteers about the lives of those in the colonial era. Try your hand at beating a rug, playing nine-mans-Morris or writing with a quill and ink. Enjoy colonial music and some treats while you explore the chores as well as the fun and games of the past.

While you’re on the property why not attend our pickling or candle dipping* workshops?

Tickets for our workshops $15 per person for non-members, $10 for Family members and above. Workshops limited to 12 attendees, save your spot below. Tickets are nonrefundable. In the event you must cancel, we will consider your purchase a donation and will happily issue you a donation receipt.
