Step into the Shadows of Westport’s Past. Creep through the hidden corners of downtown on our spine-tingling Dark History of Westport Walking Tour, into the eerie and unexpected history of Westport! Follow the dimly lit paths where whispers of the past still linger, uncovering dark and curious tales that history tried to forget.
Are you brave enough to stroll along the very waters that once carried the runoff of the Embalmers Supply Company? Can you steal a glance through the windows of the old Coffin Tack factory without shivering? Rest your feet in an old speakeasy and listen closely—some say the spirits that once drank there never truly left. And don’t forget to keep an eye out for the ghostly resident of the Westport Museum… you never know when they might make an appearance.
Meet us at the Westport Museum’s brick walk along Myrtle Avenue.
The tour covers 1-2 miles of sidewalk walking—so dress for the elements and bring water!
Tickets: $10 for members, $15 for non-members. Reservations required!
Spots vanish fast, and space is limited to just 25 daring souls per tour. If you miss out or want a private ghostly adventure, reach out at programming@westporthistory.org to arrange your own haunted experience.
