Colonial Days!

Morning Session
Ever wonder where early settlers in Westport got their groceries? How about how they did laundry? These questions are answered as campers are lead through the different tasks colonists in Connecticut performed. Try your hand at embroidery and crushing flax. Wear the clothing colonists wore while churning butter and play games such as Nine Man’s Morris.

Creative Curators

Afternoon Session
Campers will take on the challenge of creating a museum exhibition! During the week campers will bring in objects that are significant to them or to Westport from home, and will create the interpretation for each piece. As curators they will decide how they’d like to display the pieces in one of the exhibition spaces at WHS before a reception on Friday from 5:30-6:30pm.
