Durer, Rembrandt and Picasso all incised metal with acid to create images the world has never forgotten. In conjunction with the exhibition “Vision and Dignity: The Art of George Hand Wright”

master printer Chris Shore will discuss the technique of etching using the Westport artist’s original work. Using specific examples of George Hand Wright’s, explore how this traditional process has continued into contemporary artwork.

Shore received his MFA in printmaking from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. He has studied printmaking techniques in Venice and Florence, Italy and has shown his work internationally. His work explores many types of traditional and non-traditional printmaking techniques.
