Long time Westport resident and cultural champion, Len Fisher will fill the evening with stories of artists who made our community a haven for creativity. Artists began to make Westport their home starting at the turn of the 20th century, coming from New York, the Midwest and Europe. By the 1950s the Famous Artist School was founded by Norman Rockwell and Stevan Dohanos–calling upon even more young men and women to create wondrous illustrations, music and novels.
Mr. Fisher will present on these figures of Westport history and how Westport is taking steps to preserve them today. Light refreshments will be served prior to the presentation.
