Spanning pre-Revolutionary America to the modern day, An Afro-Indigenous History of the United States analyzes the deep roots of anti-Blackness and settler-colonialism in America. While the histories of Black Americans and Native Americans are often treated as two separate narratives, Dr. Mays uses phenomenal research to demonstrate how closely tied these histories are.
