3 Gorham Ave.

Grayson Braun and Jamie Walsh are honoring Westport’s heritage by displaying a Westport Historical Society plaque identifying their home at 3 Gorham Ave. as the Joseph Feeney house, which was built in 1930. Feeney, a foreman for Connecticut Light and Power Co., built the house on land acquired from Leonard H. Gault and Edward B. Bradley. The couple said they purchased their home because they loved its character and scale and the look and architectural history of lower Gorham Avenue. Both were key proponents of establishment of the Gorham Avenue Historic District in 2006, working with their neighbors and the Westport Historic District Commission. Braun is now an alternate member of the commission. Bob Weingarten for WestportNow.com
