History Lunch Break: Explore Irish Saugatuck.
Westport’s Saugatuck neighborhood was once known as “Little Dublin.” Take a history lunch break with Town Curator Kathie Bennewitz when she discusses the history of this vibrant, diverse community and how it evolved as she details Robert L. Lambdin’s meticulously researched mural depicting Saugatuck as a center of manufacturing and river commerce in 19th century Westport. The exhibit, “Saugatuck @ Work: Haven of Community, Commerce, Innovation,” is on display through May 30.
