Martin Luther King Day

WHS will celebrate Peace, Love & Understanding on Martin Luther King Day with a program on Jan. 19 for children in
grades K – 5.

This happening takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will  include yoga,  cooperative building and role playing games.  Become a Peacemaker as we learn 60’s folk songs, create world globes from maps, make love beads and peace sign wreaths while learning the origins of the peace symbols. Learn about the civil rights leader and how he inspired Westporters  to become involved in the battle for racial equality.
