Sketch to Stretch: Monday through Thursday for two consecutive weeks, children 6-13, join us for a fun and memorable summer learning experience that will make for a creative transition from the Lazy Days of Summer to the new and exciting school year.
Elizabeth DeVoll will be partnered with Marion Kelly for an integrated art and writing experience your child will not forget! In addition to outdoor games, crafts and cooking, campers will be visiting local historical landmarks such as Mill Pond, Sherwood Island and the Adams Academy one-room schoolhouse.
Campers will sketch to stretch their imaginations using various drawing techniques, descriptive prose and poetry. By combining art and creative writing, participants will reflect their unique visual and experiential walk through Westport’s rich history.
Elizabeth Petrie DeVoll is an exhibiting artist with a BFA degree and is the Educational and Creative Director of WHS. August 15-18 and August 22-25, $375 for members, $450 non members
